about

An aural experience with a sense of wonder and an immediate connection with a fragile ecosystem. The aesthetic encounter relates to a disappeared scene or endangered scenario of extinction. The gibbons represent what can shortly no longer be experienced and through music enables a feeling of despair for that loss. Here the listener becomes aware of how nature can be affected by human interference without any perception of temporal separation, as the sense of listening experience in the past becomes immediate. Via the music past and present are melded into one subjective experience of time. It emphasises the importance of phenomenological sensation over historical details such as people and places, and in doing so, prioritises the role of imagination over critical distance.

about

Deep Dive Sound London, UK

I create soundscapes in a variety of moods and shapes but mainly I favour the sound of stories embedded into objects and places, a feeling of great immediacy, the phenomenological sense of place and time, the despair for that loss, a memory.
