about

A story of exploitation and the feeling of being trapped inside someone else's story. the meaning of this musical piece draws on the lack of knowledge stored in our cultural background. Generational, cultural networks have enabled a societal acceptance for keeping wild animals in enclosures and keeping birds confined in birdcages as pets. Here, rather than approve then the self-evident cruelty of this act, culture systems have allowed people to expect this practice to be acceptable. Being confined in an enclosure is equal to imprisonment, and there is no difference for any other species that exist in this world like us. This soundscape attempts to create a social memory as imagination energises memory and a reminder that travelling and freedom of movement are a basic human/animal need and right. All the sonic elements, either in the verbal and narration, becomes an aural history of environmental sounds transposing a geographic significance of time.

about

Deep Dive Sound London, UK

I create soundscapes in a variety of moods and shapes but mainly I favour the sound of stories embedded into objects and places, a feeling of great immediacy, the phenomenological sense of place and time, the despair for that loss, a memory.
